Bone Broth for Babies: A Parent's Guide

Squeezby's bone broth is made from quality bones simmered for hours to extract collagen, minerals and natural goodness. This guide covers when to start, how to warm and serve it, and what to know about each flavour.

Made slowly, made without salt

Our bone broths are slow-cooked for 12+ hours. We add no salt, no sugar and no preservatives. Salt is left out on purpose: babies' kidneys are still developing and they do not need extra sodium in their diet. The meat and bones we use are certified Halal.

When can babies start bone broth?

From around 6 months, once your baby is ready for solids. Begin with 1 to 2 teaspoons and build up gradually as your baby grows. Always follow your baby's hunger and fullness cues. Breastmilk or formula is still an important part of the diet at this stage.

  • Never microwave the pouch.

Ways to serve

  • On its own, as a drink.
  • Instead of water, to mix baby cereal.
  • To cook baby porridge, noodles or pasta sauce.

Bubur in 2 minutes

  1. Warm half a bone broth pouch in hot water for one meal.
  2. Pour in 15g of veggie grains.
  3. Add 50ml of water to make it into porridge.
  4. Stir and let it cool to a baby-safe temperature.
  5. Serve and enjoy.

How to store it

Store unopened pouches at room temperature. Once opened, keep the broth refrigerated and use it within 24 hours.

Introducing fish

Fish is a common allergen. Offer a small amount on its own first, and wait a few days before trying another new food. If your baby has a known allergy or eczema, check with your doctor before introducing fish.
